I am an animator in the film and children's television industries. Having animated on hit shows and movies including Bob The Builder, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, The Spongebob Squarepants Movie: Sponge On The Run and my all-time dream job Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

From a young age, I have always loved watching cartoons and creating short animated films with my Lego toys. Following the status quo, I worked the 9-5 grind to make ends meet. Outside of those hours I continued tinkering with my passion of creativity until finally in 2015, I took a Leap of Faith. Leaving the comfort of home with my suitcase, passport and a few dollars in the bank, I landed in Vancouver, Canada with no contacts, job or place to live. Within two weeks, I became a full time animator and working on the shows that I loved as a child!

Skullboy is a character I sketched in the early 2000's. I always knew there was something special about him and I knew that I wanted to turn him into a children's character. In 2010 I wrote Skullboy and the Leap Of Faith. It was through taking my own risks and achieving goals, that I considered only a dream, did I realise that the story I'd written for Skullboy mirrored the journey I'd taken and I wanted to share it with the world.

When Covid-19 hit in 2020, it forced my early return to Australia. As hard as it was leaving behind the life I had built, it has given me the opportunity to fulfill another dream...publish Skullboy and the Leap Of Faith!

Andi "SPYRAL" Espinosa is a freelance illustrator from the heat-infested realm of Miami, Florida. Eternally inspired by quirky characters and pencil textures, she is often on a quest for merging some light, silliness, and wonder in dark, spindly, bug-eyed works.

As a child she was sparked by animated flicks and through time developed a love for drawing and creating fantasies all her own. She spends her days in the cool shade, drawing scenes from the imagination and broadening her experiences in the world of art and design. Quite fond of pencils, cartoons, and ugly things.

Currently a Freelance Illustrator working on published children's books and book covers - and surviving off tacos on the side.
